What The Law Could Not Do.... Jesus Did

Romans 8:1-8 English Standard Version (ESV)

1 There is therefore now no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus. 2 for the law of the Spirit of life has set you free in Christ Jesus from the law of sin and death. 3 For God has done what the law, weakened by the flesh, could not do. By sending His own Son in the likeness of sinful flesh and for sin, He condemned sin in the flesh, 4 In order that the righteous requirement of the law might be fulfilled in us, who walk not according to the flesh but according to the Spirit. 

5 For those who live according to the flesh set their minds on the things of the flesh, but those who live according to the Spirit set their minds on the things of the Spirit. 6 For to set the mind on the flesh is death, but to set the mind on the Spirit is life and peace. 7 For the mind that is set on the flesh is hostile to God, for it does not submit to God's law; indeed, it cannot. 8 Those who are in the flesh cannot please God.

John 3:19-21 English Standard Version (ESV)

19 And this is the judgement: the light has come into the world, and people loved the darkness rather that the light because their works were evil. 20 for everyone who does wicked things hates the light and does not come to the light, lest his works should be exposed. 21 But to whoever does what is true comes to the light, so that it may be clearly seen that his works have been carried out in God.

We are saved by grace (the love of God) through Christ performing a perfect work of salvation for us at the cross; through faith by Gods ultimate work alone.  There is no amount of work you can do to attain this salvation. The bible tells us that our righteousness is as filthy rags. We all have sinned and come short of the glory of God.The difference between a believer and a sinner is that the believer has been justified by faith. The faith that the believer has sets him free from the bondage of sin because Christ took it away at the crosss. Christ broke the chains of sin in the life of the believer. What Jesus did at the cross the law,  your good works, or no other could do..... Glory to HIS NAME!!!
